Area Director - Chicago @ Roti

Description

The Team Director serves as a multi-unit leader, supporting Roti’s General Managers in leading their restaurants to success.  Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Team Director assists in strategic goal setting for their market and ensures exceptional execution in all areas of restaurant operations, including people, customer, sales and profits.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Acts with integrity and holds oneself and others accountable for market and individual restaurant results
  • Accountable for strong financial performance in each location he/she is responsible for
  • Ensures Teams are running cost-effective operations in food and labor costs
  • Remains highly visible on a daily basis; motivating teams, fostering teamwork and challenging teams to achieve at their highest level
  • Monitors all revenue and expense related activity
  • Assures all operating procedures and recipes are followed
  • Leads management recruiting for their market, focused on identifying and hiring “A Players” and building a strong bench
  • Creates a culture in which employees receive ongoing performance feedback including performance reviews, on the spot feedback and recognition for outstanding performance
  • Acts as a role model for management behaviors: consistent, well presented, high energy and focused
  • Encourages teams to build Customer relationships by going above and beyond to create Roti fans
  • Ensures restaurants have excellent service, safety, cleanliness, organization, food quality and ambience
  • Executes marketing and promotional programs
  • Takes control of new rollouts and company initiatives
  • Schedules and monitors daily business to assure adherence to quality procedures and customer service standards are provided and followed
  • Enforces delivery and catering programs to support sales objectives
  • Partners with Human Resources, Marketing, Training, Finance and their own teams
  • Assures all proper insurance and liability guidelines are established and strictly adhered to
  • Assures Federal/State and roti sanitation standards are always followed and adhered to in all stores, as well as personally and by all staff

Education and/or Experience:

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline and a minimum of five years’ restaurant experience in a similar multi-unit role.
